Iceland – My Story…
The crisp cool air catches the tip of my nose.
Void of feeling, I wonder how I will ever find my way back to my heart.
Instead, in the great silence of this rugged landscape an overwhelming fear rises within me that makes me want to run into the mountains not to return.
Deep down I know – truth is, the pain I feel is actually the knowledge that I had abandoned my Self so gravely, thrown every last piece of myself into nothingness, so to run would only further barricade and block me from my heart.
So I wait, shifting from one foot to another in order to still feel my toes and then, a moment where suddenly the silence seemed deafening, I shuddered as if someone were watching me, I fixed my gaze ahead into the dark sky between the snow capped mountains, a faint green glow appeared in the distance and a voice that echoed “Had you forgotten me?” tears spilled from my eyes.
The more I remembered & the more I began to expand out of my small self, the greater this display of light appeared to me, now dancing across the sky in multi colour like a magnificent Tāṇḍava natyam.
The voice, now as clear as the very bright aurora before my eyes called out “These times of heartbreak only ever occur in order to pull you deeper towards me, and these cycles will continue Dear One until you fully merge with me again, but Fear not, fear not my sweet love, for I am in support of you & will hold you always.”
